We’ve learned to chat we’ve stopped conversing
We’ve learned to rant we’ve stopped meaning
We’ve learned to rush we’ve stopped waiting
In a world of constant movement, there’s a pressing need to take a moment to pause. If we can pause, we can create space to breathe, to think, to be. We don’t believe in stopping for a moment to take a mindful pause.
When we stumble, it is because we act on urges without thinking, without realising. We have the urge to eat junk, we do it. We have the urge to check e-mails in the middle of the night; we ruin our sleep patterns because of it.
What if instead, we learned to pause after every urge? What if we stopped, looked at the urge, but didn’t act? The urge would no longer control us. We would be able to make conscious choices that might be healthier for us.
To really shine in all our avatars, we must remember to pause and celebrate every part of ourselves.
Let’s celebrate women who take a minute to take it all in. Those who reflect, who carefully consider choices that determine their future, who think forward, think backwards, and trust their natural instinct to master their ‘now’.
Pause before speaking.
Pause before acting.
Pause to listen.
Pause to think.
Pause to breathe. And pause, to just be.
