In this crazy life it’s hard to keep track of your sanity. Your daily wins can get lost in the stress and drama we all go through every day. So it’s very important to keep these magical moments we all have in our lives safe. You just have to be willing to look for them.
It’s the oldest trick in the book. We just have to use two magical words—Thank You!
It’s so simple yet we forget to do it. When we thank god or the universe or whatever it is you believe in (I hope you believe in something), we have more. The more grateful you feel, the more there will be in your life to be grateful for.
This is how I keep track of my daily miracles:
I keep a Gratitude Journal and I record my wins for the day in it. Anytime something good happens or I have a victory, I record it.
I sometimes make lists of the things that happened in the day and I felt amazed about. It can be simple things like:
1. The food I ate
2. A stranger that smiled at me
3. My downtime with my dogs
You can start small. It’s very simple. All you have to do is write something you feel thankful for in your life. It can be your family, your friends, your spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend, your room, your pet, water! Literally anything under the sun.
You can also write paragraphs explaining what was amazing about your day or what you’re feeling grateful for. There are no rules to this thing. You can write how you feel and what you feel.
It’s your gratitude journal. Make it as personal as possible.
I call them my everyday miracles or magical moments of the day. Once I started writing these down there was more and more to be thankful for every day. I can think of so many things that happened on a particular day and I write them all down.
On those hard days, which all of us inevitably have, I take out my Gratitude Journal and just read these. Sometimes I just flip through it and it just makes me feel better. A compilation of these wins over weeks, months, years have made me realise how amazing our lives can be. Just as long as we are willing to look at the blessings in our lives.
I heard Oprah say in an interview to keep one and in days to come when you would be upset or life wasn’t going your way, you could always read your daily wins and feel grateful for the things, life you already have.
Happy journaling!
