My children asked me if they could give some chocolates to the cop managing traffic at the traffic light that wasn’t working. They felt he deserved a big thank you! Of course, the mother in me was very pleased to hear this.

We live in an interconnected web, anything I do right somewhere adds up to your benefit and anything I do wrong, you end up paying for it too.

Since grown-ups are so into the business of return on investment, here is one investment we need to make. Add a small element of dignity and gratitude in your perception and subtract the preconceived notion in your head about who qualifies to be a hero.

Skip this formula only if you can think of any one job in your ecosystem that doesn’t impact you somewhere, somehow. We are all heroes helping each other in this complex web called society.

Net worth is more than just education, industry, hierarchy, level and so on and dignity is also about conducting oneself with dignity towards another.

Big lessons from tiny people: it’s not just what you get, it’s also what you give.
